The Point

Okay, so I’m at the end. Two months into the one month challenge (ha).

For me, it’s been good to have some structure around blogging. I still struggle with the point. Time is precious, and writing time is super precious. But there’s something that’s just as important as desire: making it happen. If you don’t prioritise what you really want, life gets filled with other people’s plans. The challenge was a ┬áto carve out time and remind myself that I can make anything happen. It doesn’t have to be fast, but it has to start now, and it has to be on purpose.

So it wasn’t what I planned but it’s been exactly what I hoped for: a kick start. I love writing and it’s fun (and neccessary!) as well as my trade, but the banging-your-head-on-the-keyboard part is as key as the swooping muse. The discipline and the decision is the point. So huuuuge thanks to Sonya, and I reckon I’ll be hitching a ride on another blog challenge sometime soon.
