I’ve been heading towards this for a while. Little bits of me breaking loose and rooting down. It’s going to be hard. And scary. And public. But it’s also important. And necessary. Suddenly I get it: I made it. I’m a grown up (ish!), I have amazing people around me, I am loved and supported. I’m also okay with a one-star review – whether it’s for my books or for me. Because we need voices. We need the people who can speak, to speak. To be brave and honest and okay with the consequences of that. If not me, then who? (And if I’m not scared, it’s not brave, right?) I’m going to do the thing: I am going to go there. And I’ll meet you on the other side! (aka Monday :))
